In spring 2012, BRP launches its Group-wide CSR program at all its sites. The program is still based on the same six pillars to this day: governance, staff, the environment, product safety, vendor management and role in society. To introduce the program, the “Social Engagement” photo campaign is launched in Gunskirchen. Also in 2012, seven BRP-Powertrain teams get involved in the Austria-wide “Austria cycles to work” campaign, and energy audits are implemented the same year, in order to identify the potential for energy savings. The first successes are quickly apparent: in 2012, BRP-Rotax is exclusively powered by green electricity, which is up to 100% CO2- and nuclear-free.
To this day, health, safety and environmental protection remain the three key principles that BRP and its affiliates pursue without compromise in all areas of business.
