BRP-Rotax is already a pioneer of industrial production systems with digital controls and collaborative robotics. Equipped with specialized sensor technology and a safety system, they enable humans and machines to work seamlessly together. In the longer term the aim is to network CNC, quality control, human centered workplaces and collaborative robotics and thereafter integrate them into augmented/virtual reality systems.

Since 2019 BRP-Rotax has also been developing a flexible and highly intelligent production process for configurable premium powertrain systems in order to enable Batch Size 1 production, i.e. special and one-off production runs, at the same cost as mass production. This is the realization of Industry 4.0 and digitalization.
