One particular development of the 912 iS aircraft engine introduced in 2012 is the Rotax 915 iS – the first Rotax aircraft engine to have a turbocharger and all-electronic injection, and whose small cylinder capacity and high rotation speed really makes it stand out.
In 2015 it is an international sensation at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin: “The 915 iS opens up markets for larger, heavier aircraft, larger gyrocopters and even small helicopters,” says BRP-Rotax Senior Vice-President Thomas Uhr.
