INNOVATION UP CLOSE: OVER 5,500 VISITORS TO ROTAX ACTION DAY

Investment in increased capacity in the early 2000s has a positive impact on the accelerated expansion of the BRP production portfolio at this time. Innovative Rotax branded engines are in demand. One result is the revolutionary Can-Am Spyder Roadster, which delivers an impressive and completely new driving experience. The three-wheel vehicle combines the advantages of a motorcycle with many of the safety features of a car, which had previously not been found in vehicles of this kind.

EXPERIENCE ROTAX UP CLOSE

In order to bring innovative products such as the Can-Am Spyder Roadster to a wider audience, Rotax steps up its local marketing activity. Under the title “Start me up”, BRP-Rotax holds an Action Day on July 1, 2008. Over 5,500 visitors see the company and the Rotax brand up close. The entire BRP product range is showcased with the Gunskirchen engine hub. Staff are given special attention, and are allowed to test-drive the vehicles.

OVER 135 PILOTS ATTEND ROTAX FLY IN AT WELS AIRFIELD

The first Rotax Fly In, targeting fans of flying, takes place the same year at the Weiße Möwe airfield in Wels. In addition to enthusiastic Austrian aviators, over 135 pilots from 15 countries take part in the event.

These high-profile events reflect good times and optimism at Rotax. During this time, the VMW program, which aims to refine the corporate vision, mission and values for all BRP employees, is introduced at Group level.
