With the establishment of in-house premises and optional training, the Rotax training workshop gained official status as early as 1965. The company has had an ongoing commitment to the training and development of its own staff ever since. The 1,000 m² training workshop, housed in the RIC, is still continually upgraded today. State-of-the-art machines and workstations make apprenticeships with BRP-Rotax especially attractive.

The quality, innovation and sustainability of Rotax’ apprenticeship training is recognized with the award of the State Prize for Best Training Company – Fit for Future in 2013. Health and safety are also to the fore here: in April 2019, the company can already look back on 1,111 consecutive accident-free days in the training workshop.

The subject of workplace health promotion also plays a central role in apprenticeship training – weekly sessions in the doo it in-house health and fitness center are also a firm fixture of the first year curriculum, as is participation by both trainers and apprentices in joint teams entering sporting events on behalf of BRP-Rotax.

The BRP-Rotax Lehre^plus (Training^plus) program ensures continuous communication between trainers, schools and parents. In addition to study for the school leaving certificate in English, excursions, specialist courses and trade fairs, the company also offers its own mentoring program and a multitude of international career opportunities. Particular attention is paid here to trainees’ personal development, with the goal of making them ‘fit’ for their future life path.

With this aim in mind, digital skills are promoted too. So the company supplies all technical trainees with tablets as part of its “digital classroom” approach.
