The vision of a broad portfolio for Rotax

GOTTSCHALK’S INTEREST IN AVIATION

Restless in the most positive sense of the word, Gottschalk is not only keen on cycling. In his political capacity, he is interested in all aspects of mobility, especially if they have potential technical application for his business. Aviation is still in its infancy in the 1920s, but Gottschalk’s interest provides a hint about part of Rotax’ future. Decades later, the Rotax portfolio will include engines for ultra-light aircraft.
